Priest punched by robbers

A priest was punched repeatedly by hooded raiders who forced their way into his home and stole the parish funds.Father Francis Wadsworth, 37, fought back and bit one of the men on the hand.He was attacked by a gang at St Ann's Church, Burlington Street, Ashton under Lyne, after answering a knock at the back door.Father Wadsworth suffered a minor head injury, a black eye and was left extremely shaken.Police described the attack as `despicable and cowardly'.The priest had just returned home from visiting a parishioner in hospital when he answered the knock at the door. He said: "There were some men standing there and one said `we are just looking for...' - then the next minute three men were in the house thumping me in the side of the face. I tried to push them away but obviously was not successful. I bit one of them on the hand as I was trying to escape from them."One was thumping me and they were demanding money. It lasted for about five to 10 minutes."Father Wadsworth said the incident had not shaken his faith. He said: "Anything would make you question your faith. People question their faith all the time even when things are going well. I am shocked and in time hopefully you get over things like this."Det Insp Derek Weaver, from Tameside CID, said: "This is a despicable and cowardly attack on a priest in his own home." One of the men was white, aged 20 to 30 and with a local accent. Two other offenders were in their twenties and also spoke with local accents. All wore dark clothing with hoods covering their faces. Anyone with any information about the attack, which happened on Monday evening, can contact Tameside CID on 0161 856 9255 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.Manchester Evening News

I thought Jesus said forgive and forget?

Before forgiveness, the sinner must repent.

Jesus didn't actually exist

Jesus Is Lord Church of Zion.

point 1: Jesus never said forgive and forget. When giving the sermon on the mount, He was asked, "how should we pray?" He replied, "Forgive those who trespass against you".( Matthew 6:14) At no time did He say 'forget'. When Jesus entered the temple at Jerusalem He found money lenders and merchants.(John 2:14) In His righteous anger he cast them out, saying, "Do not make my Fathers house a house of iniquity".

The law is there for everyone to obey. Those who break it must be subject to punishment. This does not stop us forgiving them their sins.

point 2: The theological argument has never been; Did Jesus exist? The argument of course is; Is Jesus the son of God? Jesus's existence has never been proven one way or the other. Historical records and events (clued up historian!) point to, He most likely did. Therefore, was He the son of God.
Put that in your historical pipe and smoke it!
