Is the Tameside Labour Party institutionally racist? Sources close to Katie Cruikshank would suggest that racism is rife and deep seated within the ruling Labour group. It appears that the financial rewards of life in office come before ‘inclusiveness’ and that proves something that we all know, which is when it comes to hypocrisy, nobody, but nobody can beat the Labour Party and their apparatchiks.

An all white Labour council (Tameside) Can you smell fish?
I don't believe for one minute the decision made was based on a
racist agenda. The real reason that
Katie Cruikshank did not get the job is a simple one, she wasn't good enough. unfortunately, (mr,miss,mrs,miz-delete as appropriate),won't (like many other ethnics)accept this and therefore use their ethnicity as an excuse for their shortcomings.
You lot should think yourself lucky, up in Bolton a Pakistan-born female human rights lawyer from London has been parachuted in to replace the retiring MP.
The ultimate PC candidate.
If KC was in Bolton I would bet my money she would be selected no matter how bad she was.
Am I mistaken, but there seems to be a shortage of responces to the postings on this site recently?
Are people suddenly uninterested, or are they under orders from above?
Anonymous: Smell fish? If you were to see some of the presentations at the district assemblies, for example the "Britain in Bloom" film you would smell schools of whales. Absolutely no mention of our, errrrrr, ethnic diversity. Film of old mills, war memorials, heritage sites etc but mosques and temples noticable by their absence. I'm not upset, just curious as to how the council can do this and then complain about the BNP being "racist"
Katie was absolutley fuckin useless as a CLLR that's why she got kicked out after only one term.
At the time she used the Racisism card which was an apalling thing to do.
To my knowledge she is no longer a member of the Labour Party
I think the above comment was made by a Labourite. Well given that Katie knocked off a rather complacent Tory tells you something in an area such as Werneth which has a Conservative majority of 25%.
Even Roy West has to admit that would be something rather hard for him to do.
For once I actually feel sorry for the local Labour party.
This behaviour is quite typical of many 'ethnic minorities'.When these people don't get their way they accuse white folk of 'racism'.
We should crackdown on this sort of thing so that people fear the consequences of making false allegations against the indigenous people.
In response to Liam Katie won her election in 1997 where if you do your research the Tories had a hell of a beating that night and thats why they lost.
Even you could have stood and won that night.
By the way i'm not a "Labourite" as you put it iam a political observer.
Are you sure of your dates "Anonymous"?
The cutting dates from March 2000 and states that Katie lost her seat the previous year (ie 1999). This means she won it 4 years earlier (ie 1995), the very year John Bell lost his seat (See the bio of Cllr Bell on the TMBC web site).
I could stand corrected though.
She was worse than useless and we were glad to get rid. I am surprised she didnt end up with the losers in the conservative party.
lol
tameside wip, maybe you were glad to get rid because she was under the illusion that a councillor is meant to represent citizens of tameside? And not act only in the interests of themselves and their own?
