Our followers ‘must live in peace until strong enough to wage jihad’

One of the world’s most respected Deobandi scholars believes that aggressive military jihad should be waged by Muslims “to establish the supremacy of Islam” worldwide. Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani argues that Muslims should live peacefully in countries such as Britain, where they have the freedom to practise Islam, only until they gain enough power to engage in battle. His views explode the myth that the creed of offensive, expansionist jihad represents a distortion of traditional Islamic thinking. Mr Usmani, 64, sat for 20 years as a Sharia judge in Pakistan’s Supreme Court. He is an adviser to several global financial institutions and a regular visitor to Britain. Polite and softly spoken, he revealed to The Times a detailed knowledge of world events and his words, for the most part, were balanced and considered. He agreed that it was wrong to suggest that the entire nonMuslim world was intent on destroying Islam. Yet this is a man who, in his published work, argues the case for Muslims to wage an expansionist war against nonMuslim lands. Mr Usmani’s justification for aggressive military jihad as a means of establishing global Islamic supremacy is revealed at the climax of his book, Islam and Modernism. The work is a polemic against Islamic modernists who seek to convert the entire Koran into “a poetic and metaphorical book” because, he says, they have been bewitched by Western culture and ideology. The final chapter delivers a rebuke to those who believe that only defensive jihad (fighting to defend a Muslim land that is under attack or occupation) is permissible in Islam. He refutes the suggestion that jihad is unlawful against a nonMuslim state that freely permits the preaching of Islam. For Mr Usmani, “the question is whether aggressive battle is by itself commendable or not”. “If it is, why should the Muslims stop simply because territorial expansion in these days is regarded as bad? And if it is not commendable, but deplorable, why did Islam not stop it in the past?” He answers his own question thus: “Even in those days . . . aggressive jihads were waged . . . because it was truly commendable for establishing the grandeur of the religion of Allah.” These words are not the product of a radical extremist. They come from the pen of one of the most acclaimed scholars in the Deobandi tradition.
This is one of the most frightening articles I have ever read. I hope this ignoramus does not speak for all true Muslims, most of whom are people of peace.

Clearing the caves of Tora Bora we feared nothing more than the fanatical Jihadi's. When their AK's were out of ammo they would run at us with fire in their eyes showing no fear of imminent death and screaming Allah Akbar. Thankfully the 7.62's usually stopped them in their tracks.

We have been warned! Let us heed the warning!
"The Stranger within my gates,
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control—
What reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
Shall repossess his blood."

"Let the corn be of one sheaf,
and the grape of one vine,
ere our children's teeth be set on edge,
by bitter bread and wine"

Today, 8th September, is Malta's National Day and we send greetings to them.

Why 8th September?

Because on that day in 1565 the Muslim Ottoman Turkish Army raised the Seige of Malta and FLED! They had been beaten by The Knights of Malta and a European wide Christian relief force. Under their leader, Jean de la Vallette a French nobleman, the Christian Knights matched the Ottoman hordes in courage and fanaticism AND BEAT THEM! On a visit to Malta I paid homage before his tomb.

I urge all visitors to Malta to do the same.

In hoc signes Vincit!

The difference between Christians and Muslims can be illustrated by comparing instructions in the Bible with those from the Koran

'Love thy neighbour'
The New Testament

'Seek out the unbelievers who live near to you and show them how harsh you can be'
The Holy Koran.

Dear NCB 1970

They are welcome too "seek me out"! It's not that hard. But they may find me a bit harsher than they are!

It is strange how only the known BNP supporters have responded to this post. It is as if the fear of being branded an Islamaphobe or god forbid a 'RACIST' prevents people from all other political persuasions from voicing their opinions. Surely an educated man like Liam, who must be aware of the Islamic view on same sex relationships has opinions, but the ideology of Political Correctness prevents those opinions from being aired.

It is my view that when the Muslims take over, it will not be the BNP who will be first for the chop, but the people involved in practices considered un-Islamic. Something worth thinking about!

Ex para, that is the case to be honest. I do not know much about the Islamic faith and immigration isn't really a problem in my area, so I can't really give an opinion on the matter.

What I will say that this extremism should not be tolerated, nor should it be practiced and preached in the United Kingdom. I see it as treason.

There are loopholes to protect them, and as long as we have "Human Rights" for criminals, then you will see this problem persist.

We should be like France when dealing with these mad Muslims.
