Ex Para
I have been listening to the test transmissions tonight. They are playing some real good music and it is totally free from adverts.
Maybe Taylor could get Frank to join his campaign in Dukinfield. He needs all the help he can get to fight that nasty Nazi.

Blimey! I thought Frank Sidebottom had retired. He was in an 80's band the Freshies, who had a hit with "I'm in love with the girl from a certain Manchester megastore checkout desk" A useless but interesting fact, I hope. As for fighting any campaigns in Dukinfield, I'm sure there's enough crime in Timperley for him to be getting on with.
Here's one for you Tigger; What was the name of the up and coming band in the 1990's who had a hit with a Rolling Stones number. Here is a clue - their producer was local legend Martin Hannett who used to work from Strawberry studio in Stockport.
Dear music loving queer rattler, tough question, but the answer is She's a rainbow by World of Twist. Entered charts Feb '92 (no. 62) highest pos. Wonder if it was ever played on radio Timperley?
Well done tigger. Next time we are having a music trivia quiz remind me to invite you.
Hilarious
Interesting facts.
The managing director of Tameside community Radio is Simon Walker. His home address is the Registered office of the company.
He is a Labour Party member and ex-Tameside councillor.
Cllr Cath Piddington left her husband Ron for Clllr Walker (See "The Sun" 8th Feb 1991 and "The Reporter" 18th Jan 1992)
Hmmmm..wonder what the editorial slant of this radio station will be?
