Vandals On The Rampage In Denton
I came across this last night. If the perpetrators were caught the chances are nothing would happen, the mindless morons responsible know that too.
This type of anti-social vandalism could easily be stopped if the will to do so existed. One solution would be, once the perpetrators are caught and positively identified, take them down to the village green without ceremony and flog them with a Cat o' nine tails and then send them on their way without further ado, but not before telling them that if they ever commit a similar crime they will get the same again but double - problem solved! Of course such a solution would never be considered under current rules as the perpetrators 'rights' might be infringed upon but thankfully times are a changing and Generation Snowflake might yet wake up with a hard landing as a new West begins to emerge from the ashes of the old failed system.

The solution you advocate would see crime massively reduced but unfortunately it will never happen in this country.
You never know, things are changing. At the beginning of 2016 few people would have thought that the Leave campaign would win the E.U. Referendum and that Donald Trump would win the U.S. Presidential Election.
Le Pen as french President next year would complete the hat trick.
It might also help shut the mouths of the 'You're a rayycisst' PC brigade, who try to demonize anyone who doesn't want Britain filled up with a never ending tsunami of Third Worlders.
You idiot, violence breeds violence
We need some politicians with backbone for this to happen but there are none around. I cannot remember ever reading about prison riots when the cat was in force but I suppose there must have been.
The cat and the birch were feared, not like the ridiculous sentences dished out nowadays for violent scum.

I bet Putin did it💨
@Peace not war, No, lawfully inflicted, punishment based violence stops unlawfully inflicted violence.
Society was far more orderly 60 years ago when the death penalty was in force and criminals were massively more likely to be jailed and for much longer.
When leniency, suspended sentencing and fantasy theories like rehabilitation took hold in the late 1960s - the same period when the rot started to set in generally - the proportion of the population committing crime rocketed.
I support execution for petty crimes myself, sounds absurd, but we are terribly overpopulated and after deporting those who have no right to be here (and executing the criminal element amongst them) we will still have a sizeable underclass that needs taking out of the gene pool.
