But no. The truth is less colourful. It is in fact The MERCIAN Regiment which is parading (and very welcome they are by the way!).
Having had a cheap laugh at this typo there is a serious point to be made. In light of recent tragic events the army deserve our utmost support. The Regimental system is the backbone of the British Army. To misspell a regiment's name is disrespectful in the least. At worst it shows how little knowledge of a local regiment Cllr Taylor has.
But then again. This is a man who has his Christian name tattooed on his knuckles. So as to remember how to spell it?

There are many things you can call John, but bright is not one of them.
When a low calibre individual like this attains such high office in local government, it tells you the direction Tameside us heading.
He needs to get a thicker skin
This man can dish it out in bucket loads, but when he gets it back he runs to the police and courts like a little girl crying.
It amazes me how some people with no qualifications whatsoever manage to worm their way into positions of power.
Self promotion is a wonderful attribute as proven by our national politicians.
Another day of almost total silence in the British mass media re the seven days of rioting by immigrants in Sweden. Can't think why, perhaps telling the truth is bad for capitulatio... sorry 'cohesion'.
Watch what you say or post. After Woolwich the Police, AKA the 'Take Money To Help Your Nation's Enemies Squad' are looking to jump on 'extremists' i.e any patriot trying to stop the destruction of their country.
'But we're only keeping the peace' they say. FUCK THE PEACE, it's time for everyone to get off the fence.
Groups like the EDL are going to be classed as (if they aren't already) extremists. Their offence? Trying to stop the destruction of their country, what used to be called patriotism.
The REAL extremists are those trying to desroy it. Not only are the two types of 'extremists' not related, they are diametric opposites.
The attack was being treated as a "terrorist incident", said a source at the Paris prosecutors office.
"The anti-terrorist branch of the prosecutors office is dealing with the matter," the source added.
Coming just four days after the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby in London, the stabbing was immediately seen as a possible copycat
French daily Le Parisien cited police sources as saying the suspected attacker was a bearded man of North African origin about 30 years old, and was wearing an Arab-style garment under his jacket.
Enrichers at their best/worst
And which 'extremists' imported 3 million immigrant votes into one of most over crowded countries in world? Oh yes, that'll be Labour too.
well done EDL
