I stumbled upon this website and TC readers may find it of interest. The website is fairly amateurish, but the content is what makes it interesting. Residents of Tameside are blessed with some fantastic scenery and interesting local places to go on walks.
The owner of the website, a gentleman called Bill Murney has walking guides focused on Tameside on sale for £9.95 each. They look good and when I have bought one I will give my opinion. He also has a Youtube channel dedicated to walks around Tameside.
As Bill Murney says on his website; walking is a fantastic way of doing exercise and keeping fit. Check out his website and think about buying one of his guides. Once you get addicted to the great outdoors and exploring the wilderness there is no going back and your overall fitness level will increase every time you take to the hills.

I live in Hyde and this situation is worrying us all around the Town Hall area.
The Press coverage of the Capello/Terry incident is the epitome of politically correct spinelessness. There is no criticism whatsoever of the FA for their sacking of the England captain, or their failure to consult the manager as the Press are all too frightened to take on the prevailing culture of demonisation of dissenters against political correctness re the Holy Grail of the race issue.
Clearly Mr Capello doesn't understand the extent to which Britain is currently crushed under the heel of the PC jackboot.
John Terry is innocent until proven guilty and should obviously have been allowed to continue as captain. No doubt many journalists agree but don't have the guts to say so. Capello clearly does have, and has been disposed of for standing up for his principles regarding the wrongful sacrifice of Terry on the race/PC altar.

Two white lads were being racially abused near Asda the other day. They did not report the incident.
They were scared so can't blame them for that. But it is getting bad up here.

I've always wondered what I would do if I was a passenger on the titanic when it sank. What I would do, how I would act. I spent a while thinking about it once, would I sit and write about my final thoguhts, would I wrestle with my fellow passengers. My conclusion was that it would be a traumatic event and that I have no way of knowing what I would do.
Of course the best thing to do is to get out and get onto a life raft if possible. That wisdom, provided by my seven year old self has proved invaluable.
I've decided to get off the ship before it sinks.
I'm at the shore now looking upon the harbour. There are a lot of ships there, though I can't decuide which one, they all look as if they would sink sooner than the last one.
So I will wait until the right ship arrives, one with a trustworthy captain rather than some treasure hoarding pirate.
Nationalist, action is needed but you seem very uninformed about what's gone on and is going on in what's left of the BNP. It's a total shambles with very few members, no organisational structure to speak of and, crucially, virtually no activists or active groups. The fact that the Tameside Group has gone out of its way to stay together (when many groups/branches have disbanded in disgust) despite the appalling mismanagement (to put it very mildly) from the central party is a cause for praise not criticism.

We need to get more Muslims to stand for UKIP. We need to reach out into the Muslim community. I enjoy their food in Hyde. We will be putting out leaflets in Hyde to promote our intentions, and new formed relations with our Muslim brothers in the Town.

Hi Bill, please do not think that I was in any way being critical of your website. It is a nice website and I certainly couldn’t make anything better. My comment was just an observation as your website looks more amateurish than say The National Trusts website or a website like this loaded with Flash animations and the like. The important thing is that your website appears on search engines and it is easy to navigate and most importantly it has interesting content.
Please ignore some of the insane comments on this blog. It is usually un-moderated which means anyone can post what they like and as a result all sorts of garbage appear from time to time.
By the way, are your guides available to buy in any shops in Tameside?

Thanks for the reply, no the guides are only available by downloading online at the moment.
I have obviously thought about physical copies but the cost of printing and the limited potential mean that its not really viable.
I know TMBC have a few physical books but they are years out of date.
