Traffic pollution deception?

The image above is a 2005 TMBC map showing the air pollution areas where Government and EEC Air Pollution Targets are not being met.

From left to right are red line boundary markings for Tameside.

The M67/M60/A57 Interchange is in the middle of the lower large green blob, and the green area then proceeds to Denton Crown Point from where it peters out as it approaches Hyde.

From Hyde to Mottram no pollution is shown, then at Mottram a small very narrow almost impossible to see green line is present.

To the north of Junction 24 of the M60 you can note the Audenshaw reservoirs and the pollution area expands as it runs through Audenshaw.

You can see where deception appears by noting the spur to the left of the M67/M60/A57 interchange is, because that spur should be expanded to cover almost the full area of Denton West.

It certainly confirms all my comments.

All that standing traffic at that abortion of a junction pumping out filth. Unresolved for decades, appalling dereliction of duty.

Of interest to the Longendale Siege Committee and anyone else who does not know of the serious implications a ByPass would create:
I quote from the Highways Agency "own evidence" submitted at the ByPass Public Inquiry ie

"Environmental Statement A57/A628 Mottram-Tintwistle ByPass"
Section 5.4.11 The scheme would generate predicted increases in traffic and or HGVs (AADT) within the wider strategic road network along the
M67,A57,A628,and A616/A61 Corridor between the M60 (Junction 24 in Manchester and the M1 (Junctions 35A &36 to the North of Sheffield, the A616 from the A628 (Flouch Junction)to A635 (New Mill)

All Tameside Councillors backed the proposal to bring large extra
volumes of Cars/HGV`s down from the M1 down the M67 and then through to Junction 24 M60
Did they consider what EXTRA pollution would be created on top of the Map references on TC
NOT ONE BIT.
and the local MP A Gwynne was all for the ByPass.and has never done a jot or exposed the present disgusting pollution levels,he should be totally ashamed how he has treated his thousands of Constituents.
This must confirm what a load of charlatans and hypocrites are administrating our lives especially when they want even more toxins filling Tamesider`s Lungs.
Killing people deliberately with toxins through decisions taken by TMBC should certainly become a criminal offence.
Maybe Sandra Stewart also should start recognising how much of her 100% backing for Councillors is misplaced when her own female species young and old are being targeted with toxins each day.

It's a shame that you never answer the questions that are put to you Hall, instead of the ones you wish were put to you.

1, where is the evidence that the pollution caused by road traffic is the cause of heart disease that you claimed in your last rant?

2, If, as you claim, heart disease in Tameside is caused by the M67/M60 road junction, why is heart disease not far worse in more congested locations?

3, If, as you claim, the M67/M60 junction is so detrimental to health, why do residents of Denton West have a better life expectancy than many others in Tameside.

You keep repeating the rants and Ill keep repeating the basic questions.

Imagine all those extra HGVs at the M60/M67 gridlock idling their filthy diesel fumes into the Tameside air.
Freeing up the top end, ruining even more of what's left of our precious local countryside, all at phenomenal expense whilst simultaneously making the bottom end bottleneck even worse is lunacy.
Unfortunately the Tameside Labour mafia know the electorate are either thick, deluded and that 70 - 75% are too apathetic to even turn out, and whatever the Council's failings, even on major issues, they'll almost certainly be voted back in again by the morons.
The pathetic nature of the Tory 'opposition' doesn't help.

Beacause they've already been answered multiple times:
Denton is a wealthier area and there are many other factors that affect life expectancy. One thing's for sure poorer air quality contributes to health problems.
See the previously referenced heart disease research, the latest being from Edinburgh University on the adverse effects of diesel fumes/particulates on the heart.
Which areas of Tameside have worse congestion than the M60/M67 Junction at peak times.

...................................
Time to stop your ridiculous comments which have already totally eradicated your presumed credibility.
Instead of accepting facts you simply deny deny deny.
Now that`s a typical politicians response,so come clean Anonymous are you Andrew Gwynne MP,or one of his £87,000 annually paid for staff,or one of the TMBC spoilers appointed to post on TC as soon as damaging exposures are shown on TC.

Have you not noticed yet I release facts not simply air as you export.
So TMBC`s own Map is rubbish ? and the air pollution depicted on the Map does not exist ? plus polluted air is good for you ?.
That really is the end of my responses to you Anonymous, the in hiding paid phantom TMBC Politician.

John Hall has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that TMBC with the help of of what at best could be described as 'dishonest' politicians, have willfully distorted environmental data to suit their political objectives.

After watching John Hall expose this data manipulation I am starting to think the people who deny climate change may be right after all and enviirinmental data is being used as a political weapon of mass deception.

Dear Mr West,

Thank you for your letter of 16 July which has been passed to me for a response.

Our guidance on campaigning around a polling station is that there should be no long term parking of vehicles for campaign purposes, for example displaying election materials or using loudspeakers, immediately outside entrances or within unreasonable proximity of the entrance to a polling station. However, it is up to the Presiding Officer or Returning Officer to express any concerns about this to the candidate or their supporters, as did happen in this case.

If you have concerns that the actions of the Councillors you mention amounted to undue influence (see Section 115(2) Representation of the People Act 1983, as amended by Section 38, Electoral Administration Act 2006) and are prepared to put them in writing then you can make a complaint to the police who would be able to investigate further.

Yours sincerely

Anti-fascists will be delighted that the unpleasant and unpopular Nick Griffin has been confirmed as the leader of the BNP for another four years.

Mr. West will also now no longer be standing as a candidate for the BNP - if he is a man who keeps his word that is!

Happy days!

Blog Cockroach, no-one cares about Griffin or any other individual, group or Party. The fight goes on.

No question the offence was committed, and no question nothing's been done. Wildy was told to move it, that's not 'expressing concern'. He hasn't even been called in for questioning or a quiet word.
This is the Borough where vile, illegal, lying leaflets are put out regularly (10,000 illegal ones in Hyde/Newton 2009).
Total summation of action taken by the Borough's electoral overseers (who like to trumpet their integrity): None.
I hope you won't let that lie about the woman with mixed race kids pass Mr West. In my view you should take legal advice. Don't waste your time writing to TMBC.

Mr. West,

Thanks for the confirmation of the defeat of your BNP campaign in Dukinfield.

Here's hoping you find it within yourself to also renounce the weird foreign extremist ideologies of other fascist grouplets - and return to the traditional British mainstream.

Enjoy your retirement, Mr. West!

BNP or no BNP. Nothing can stop the inevitable. France will be free next year or close to it.

This time the French people will not be crushed by the forces of oppression and greed as they were after the revolution of 1793.

The wealthy do not have men like Wellington amongst them anymore to keep them drinking fine wine while the poor of France and Britain suffer. First France, then Europe.
