Neighbouring pubs closed in Audenshaw

What a sad state of affairs to see these three well known and fairly historic pubs all lying empty. It is hard to believe that each of these pubs survived the great cotton famine, two world wars and the great depression but they couldn’t survive Labour’s smoking ban and unfair competition from supermarkets who use cheap alcohol as loss leaders as a means of increasing custom for non alcohol related goods.

Many pubs were struggling but ticking over until Labour's slavish devotion to the EU brought in the fascist anti-smoking ban. Portugal, Germany, recently Holland and other countries stood up for the bar/pub trade and instituted smoking and non-smoking establishments, which are plainly a fair and reasonable solution. Not Labour.

The acceleration in pubs going bust has been massive in the last few years.
Ask the landlord of any working class pub (as I have) what percentage of his customers used to smoke and he'll tell you 80% plus.

What an utter betrayal by thbe Party founded to defend the rights of the British working man.

In 2010, in the current dreadful economic circumstance 49000 Slovakians, one tiny European Union country, came to live in Britain. That's one in ten of their entire population. 521,000 Poles.
Those two are just the tip of the iceberg in the EU alone. Think of how have came in from Africa, India and Pakistan. Then they bring, on average, 22 members of their extended families. Britain's identity will be destroyed unless something is done about out of control immigration. Mr Cameron? Don't be naive, he likes and wants this situation to continue or he wouldn't have made a speech a few weeks ago enthusiastically welcoming Turkey's 78 million Muslims into the EU, a massive proportion of whom will come to Britain. And nunder EU law there's not a single thing we can do to stop them. Incidentally if the same ratio of Turks come here as Slovaks, that would be 780,000.

Ok the cooling trends and things that would indicate we may be in a cooling transition are continueing unfortunately even in to the summer. Last week I had hoped that we would see a real summer but that is starting to fade. While there are some heat waves in some parts of the country in most of the rest of the country and the world things are cooling which is not good. Here in southern Cali its been pretty cool. But thats nothing compared to what Im going to show you in this installment of NABS.

Ok lets roll.

Three months ago Hubbard glacier was about 410 meters away from Gilbert point. It is now about 120 meters away - the length for a football field - from blocking the entrance to Russell Fjord.

So The largest tidewater Glacier in North America is advancing at 10 feet per day and within weeks will block off the out flow of a serious river and the last couple of times this happend it created a lake that rose from 40-90feet. This is of course nothing you will see in the regular news stations because it doesnt fit. This is all happening right now in summer!!!! If this does continue and then we make it to winter before a collapse of the natural damn that it will create then it will be historic and some towns may be gone. Whats interesting is that this glacier has been thickening since 1895 or about 120 years.

37% of crops are done in Czech because of surprise frost. Coldest May in history for Darwin Australia and coldest in 41 years for Melboarne. Volcanoes erupting in Iceland, Mexico, Chile, and Ethopia (volcanoes are thought to be more active during cooling transitions hint ice ages).

A foot of snow in the alps in June "Unheard of". Snow in Hawaii in June very rare. Snowing in South Africa they cant believe it. Winter advisory for northern California, Montana in June!!! Squaw Valley (california) and Crystal Mountain(Washington) most snow in recorded history. Mammoth has 728% above normal snow fall, Snowbird gets 525% of norm. Uk gets snow in June!!!

Some of the snow on these mountains will likely remain for the winter which is what happens in a global cooling transition (advancing and new glaciers etc).

Now remember one of the focuses of this blog is on precipitation and flooding and all that and it looks like large parts of America will see a 500 year event flood for the second time in 15 years:

Flooding could continue until at least mid August

On Wednesday, officials cautioned that the record flows and sustained periods could still prove to be too much for the barriers.

The Army Corps of Engineers plans to release 60,000 cubic feet per second of water from the Fort Peck Dam on Friday. It expects to reach 150,000 feet per second at its other five reservoirs by about mid June and hold at that peak until at least mid August. (Italics added)

Flooding along the river this summer is expected to break decades-old record, said Fire Chief Dan Sturm in Hamburg, Iowa. If efforts to protect the town fail, part of Hamburg could be under as much as 8 feet of standing water for a month or more, said Sturm. “They’re talking months of this water staying here and it’s highly unlikely that any houses are going to survive this,” he says. “I just can’t see how anything will be salvageable.”

Water already reached up nine feet in some flooded areas south of Omaha, touching the nets on the basketball hoops in a city park.

The last time the Missouri River crested at levels predicted for this summer was in 1952, before most of the major dams along the river were built.

Hydrologist calls it 500-year event

"This event only had a 0.2 percent chance of occurring, making it a 500-year event," said Joyce Williamson, a USGS hydrologist. "This doesn't mean that the next comparable flood will be in 500 years, just that there is a 0.2 percent chance of this level of flooding to occur. Multiple 500-year events can occur in a short time frame and then not again for a very long time."

Second 500-year flood within fifteen years, says USGS

A prominent geophysicist has been predicting a minor ice age for several years and in 2008 predicted major cooling in 2010 ... oh holy crap was he right. So this is something he said recently:

"Rarely in the United States has there been a snowfall such as the one that in Chicago they have started calling Snowpocalypse, “however, this is far from being something apocalyptic, it is rather a natural process that the Earth regularly passes through” Victor Manuel Velasco presented at the Institute of Geophysics of the UNAM.

"Currently, Chicago is one of the cities most affected by this phenomenon, of which Velasco warned in May 2010, he then traveled there to offer a conference on Global Cooling.

"Since 2002, the scholar has been devoted to the study of solar activity and the impact it has on the planet, “and the observations obtained led us to predict in 2008 that the weather would begin to cool around 2010, and now nature begins show whether the prediction was true or not.

"This period, which the researchers call “a mini-ice age” corresponds with the present low solar activity, but also to planetary motion. Today we have conditions very similar to those that occurred about 400 years ago. At that time, we recorded the coldest winters known in the modern era, he said.

“We talk about the period between 1645 and 1715, known as the Maunder Minimum, when sunspots virtually disappeared from the surface of the star (our sun), and in which our planet was in a position very similar to the one it has today with respect to the center of mass of our solar system.

"Something that, when studying climate change, scientists rarely consider important, is the place the Earth occupies in the solar system at a given time; but it opens unexpected horizons of study, he added.

"The scientist said that this “mini-ice age” will last 60 to 80 years, “forcing us to rethink our economy, technology and science. For example, if the north begins to have an energy deficit, and there develops an increased need for food; we must think about it today to begin to prepare for (provide for) tomorrow.

In fact there are now yearly conferences on climate change but they are not about warming they are about global cooling and there are many serious scientists that attend these events and many of them are talking about global cooling that has started already or is just now starting and they are citing different reasons such as global current changes in the ocean and atmosphere, sunspots, planet alignments, position of the earth to the sun, tilt, magnetic reversals, volcanic activity and on and on. There is a convergence right now of many different things that points very strongly to a serious shift in to the cooling direction.

The only good news is that we have seen some warming in some parts of the globe this summer and in particular the US but this is to be expected as it is summer for the northern hemisphere. But in many other parts there is cooling to off trend this.

In all honesty Im wishing for a nice hot summer and a decline from the bitter winter of last year when we get to winter but its looking like a long shot at best. But we can hope. Just remember a cooler planet is a bad thing for everything and a warmer planet is good for everything.

WE NEED GLOBAL WARMING

RIGHT NOW!!!

At a time when uncontrolled population growth in the Third World is the single biggest factor exacerbating the diminution of the world's natural resources, we find idiots like Cameron doing their damnedest to make a bad situation worse.

Nature employs harsh but simple measures to restrict feckless population growth by those who lack the resources to feed and provide for their progeny, they are disease and starvation, and the population of the world has only started to become the serious problem that it is, since Christian missioneries/liberal/lefty types began lavishing aid upon the originally much smaller populations they encountered in the Third World.

It would not be so bad if they used just their own money to commit this abuse, but they don't limit their folly in this way, they insist instead, on using our money in this suicidal endeavour.

It appears that Cameron has committed us to spending more than any other nation on earth and double the spending of our nearest rival.

Does his stupidity know no bounds?

Anonymous, so you're happy about the vast and ever increasing sums Cameron's throwing at the Third World are you. Make no mistake our own vulnerable people will suffer directly as a result, especially the sick and elderly in winter. 95% plus of the British people are against this, especially the latest, just short of a billion he's promised today.
It's possible his son's death may have fundamentally damaged his objectivity, towards suffering children in particular. Unsound thinking is extremely dangerous in a national leader. He seems blind to reality, common sense and public opinion on international aid.

Hmm, interesting thought...but I suspect the self-proclaimed heir to Blair (who urged us to hug surly, sullen hoody-wearers wherever we encountered them) is at laeast partly making these treacherous gestures to keep the LibDems from breakign away. He was obviously a trivial, surface-fixated figure back when he won the leadership contest.

Reimer, even an ethereal toff like Cameron MUST know how massively unpopular our vast and ever expanding international aid budget is amongst Brits. But yesterday he announced ANOTHER near billion pounds for vaccines that will ensure the Third World's population grows even faster, if that's possible.
In my view he's either leading an administration that is mentally unsound and doing it for 'moral' reasons, or he's utterly out of touch with how angry people are on this issue.
No politician I can remember has gone so deliberately and openly counter to public opinion, especially on such a significant and highly publicised issue.

Dominic, the Iraq war was supported by large numbers of people at the time and the government new that so rode the protests out.

Virtually no-one is in favour of the massive and ever growing international aid budget (especially in the current dire economic circumstances and consequent vast public spending cuts), and a lot are very angry. It's a PR disaster seriously afffecting the government's popularity of which Mr Cameron seems blissfully unaware.

Other questions the police asked me at the station.
1) Was this a BNP blog?
2)Did I post a comment calling John Taylor nasty, violent, and corrupt?
3)Did I go to the same places John Taylor went to?
4)Did I know Steven Pleasant?
5) What did the code of conduct mean to me?
6)When did I first decide to get involved with the BNP?

Thing is, with these elite creatures, their spurious 'moral sense' seems to be defined by its being actively opposed to the moral sense of the people who they ostensibly represent (and who they are keen to differentiate themselves from thus). When common folk didn't have enough to eat, these bastards were fat. Now too many folk can eat too much they disgustedly hold themselves aloft from such vulgarity.

Re abortions comment, 'Murder certainly comes to mind'. So does chronic female promiscuity and STDs.
When women, who have a key role as a civilising force, behave with self-respect, restraint and decency men automatically adjust their behaviour accordingly and civilised values flourish.
The reverse is also true and reflected in the cesspit that modern Britain is becoming.

The three pubs on here are only a few hundred yards apart and this is rampant i Tameside and nationally.
The current and former government's WANT the traditional British pub destroyed for their own political purposes: To reduce traditional social gathering places where potentially 'dangerous' i.e. independent, talk might take place.
It also frees up brownfield sites after the pub's been demolished to increase the housing crush.
Can anyone think of a serious campaign by the state to assist our traditional pub trade? No, because it's never happened.
Yet the last government and now the Tory led coalition is hand in glove with the drinks industry, and alcoholism and all its related destructive problems, particularly amongst the young, is out of control.

Dear Mr Hall
You recently contacted the Department for Communities and Local Government regarding the issue of misleading election literature in Tameside, Greater Manchester. Your query was transferred to the Cabinet Office which has responsibility for the electoral law and framework, and I am responding on the Department’s behalf.

As I am sure you appreciate, it is the nature of campaigning at UK elections that statements and claims made by candidates and political parties will be scrutinised by other candidates and parties who are also contesting the election, and the wider public, who may put forward counter arguments and claims. This is part of the natural democratic process, although it is of course the case that all participants are expected to be wholly compliant with the law in the words, behaviour and election materials they use.

Section 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 makes it an offence for a person to make a false statement regarding the character or conduct of a candidate standing at an election. The Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000 also restricts central and local government from publishing certain information relating to referendums during the relevant campaign period, and Cabinet Office guidelines impose similar restrictions in relation to elections. However, generally speaking the law does not prescribe the content of election literature or broadcasts by political parties or candidates, and it is therefore unlikely that the issue you raise constitutes a breach of existing legislation or guidelines.

I hope this helps address some of the points you raise in your email.
Yours sincerely,

Rachel Cornwell
