The Curse of the Chinese Lantern - Part2

Is this an early contender for the ‘Most Pointless Video of the Year’ award? Possibly, but the issue is real. While out walking the hound today I was not surprised to find the area littered with dead Chinese Lanterns. If you watch the video you will see the scene as I saw it this afternoon with dead lanterns littering fields, rivers and trees. Each lantern featured is an individual and I did not go out of my way searching, they are literally everywhere.

New Years Eve is a popular time for releasing these infernal objects. I was in Albert Square, Manchester to see in the new year and witnessed numerous lanterns being fuelled up and then sent skyward. The people featured in the video launching the lanterns probably give little thought to the mess the lanterns create when they come down.

I have previously written an article on these weapons of mass littering and my point still stands: if citizens of Tameside are given draconian fines of fines of £400+ for carelessly discarding a cigarette butt, surely anyone found guilty of launching a Chinese Lantern should be fined treble that amount due to the sheer mess created when these objects land?

By the way - Happy New Year
Signed
Old Grumpy Guy, Tameside

Something John can look to campaign on.
Dog Shit.
Blocking off public footpaths.
Now he can sort this problem out.

Of course, I agree it's a worth while issus to take up.

"Old Grumpy Guy", now we know you're a man and getting on a bit TC.
And give Taylor some credit, he's bloody good at getting footpaths blocked, inconveniencing the law abiding and denying access.
Hey, you're not Taylor are you?

Get it over it. Tameside is rubbish anyway.

Kicking off in Duki already. Turncoat is ignoring requests to go and work in Saddleworth for the by-election. Colleagues in despair at the gossiping. She's knows best and won't be put right on anything!

Labour till i die! are you really as thick as you sound! did you say "chinks" when referring to the chinese people,

MICK, THICK as a BRICK said...

Labour 'til I die, the communities are already divided. But according to you it's all caused by white 'racism', not foreigners coming here, refusing to integrate and setting up their own ghettos. They're above criticism, you'd rather kick your own kind in the teeth. Until the tide turns that is and you'll be the first one riding the nationalist wave.

Here is a local Conservative meeting discussing the by-election. Who is missing from the audience?

Answer: Anyone not Muslim.
Baroness Warsi had to be GIVEN a big job by Cameron because Muslims are extremely reluctant to vote for a woman. Bolton South East and Birmingham Ladywood (nuff said, go there if you want to know what I mean) are the only places where a guaranteed vote from the community could override Islamic prejudice against women.
The guy's question can be summed up as, 'What are you going to do for us?'

It's not going to happen, a Taylor campaign against these Chinese Lanterns.
Is It?

What a joke. It looks more like a Labour meeting. Have the Tories been taken over too?

Keith Flint said...

If any of the main parties have to sell their soul, arse or country down the river for a few votes they'll do it without a moment's hesitation. Do you think they'd waste two seconds on Muslims if there were only 5000 of them as opposed to 2.6 million (very modest estimate)? Muslims know this (and have done for 1400 years) better than anyone.

Dog-hater Jim Middleton was spotted out in his car in Stalybridge today. He was confused by the closure of Trinity Street and ended up in the middle of the junction with Market Street.

Motorists had to weave around him until he realised he wasn't in Droylsden.

I don't understand his confusion, living in Droylsden he must be used to road closures by now. Bless.

David Cameron was in the region today - he said "I've just come to check for myself that we've finally got rid of that bloody Dorothy Cartwright woman"

"...and given ANOTHER seat to Tameside's Labour mafia. Tameside's Tories are doing an excellent job." He was then heard to mutter, "If I ever meet that silver headed p***k Bell again I'll f*****g kill him, he's a total waste of f*****g space."

Callo me Davo, never fear, Turncoat will do more damage to Labour by being in Labour than being a Tory. Just you wait until she's putting her tu'ppeneth in at Group meetings, gossiping about individual councillors, and driving everybody nuts with her vague recollections and holier than thou attitude.

Believe me, the Tories thought all their Christmases had come at once when they heard she'd defected. The laughter is still ringing out across Gee Cross.

Turncoat's in the Reporter with comments that show she's; (i) deluded, and, (ii) only in it for herself.

Congratulations also to TC for getting a mention in the report. Can you post a copy of it on TC, TC?

Zionist Terror said...

John Taylor talks about hope not hate, yet he supports Zionist terror attacks on Palestine.
You can't have it both ways surley?
What does the Muslim community think of Taylor's support for these terror attacks on the West Bank?

New Britain said...

Taylor's rambling on about the EDL on his blog and how his lefties give the National Front a duffing up in the 70s. Talk about living in the past, things have moved on, we've got a massive problem with the attempted Islamification of Britain and he's reliving the 'glory' days of class war. Pathetic.

Daniel Sims of the Tameside Reporter says this is a right wing blog. I think you will find it is a BNP blog which would make it something of the far left.

Josey Wales: Liberal (to go with Eastwood's politics) and overlong, but entertaining western.
Midnight Cowboy: Good film about a country boy who goes to the big city and ends up as a rent boy, very good music.
The French Connection: Top notch early 70s police thriller about one cop's obsessive quest to catch a major league French drug dealer, with one of the best car chases on film and an excellent performance from Gene Hackman.
Unforgiven: The best of these four. Eastwood's best western and best film, about the realities and consequences of killing another person. Eastwood plays William Munny a supposedly reformed killer/bank robber/man of violence who takes on one last job which goes badly wrong. The climactic scene when he goes back to the town where they have killed his best friend and 'kills the s**t out of everyone' is one of the best in cinema history.

The police came round knocking on doors on the grove, wanting to know if anyone can help in relation to damage to a car.
So I called them up and spoke to PCSO Mcloughlin.
'I see kids batting and throwing stones all over the place, one particular girl picking up hand fulls of stones and throwing them'
'I see the football being kicked, hitting cars.'

PCSO Mcloughlin's relpy.
'Well, they have got to play somewhere, they don't play out enough these days.'

GMP was formerly led by serial womaniser Mike Todd who killed himself. His successor was one of the most politically correct Chief Constables (and that takes some doing as they virtually all are) of the lot, Peter Fahy. Virtually his first act in the job was to lead the homsexual parade in Manchester city centre.
They have become a useless joke as a police force under him and ARE officially now one of the worst in the country.
The police should be concentrating on catching and convicting criminals, not establishing how right on, liberal and sensitive to 'community needs' they are.
If Fahy was running a private company (which ACPO - The Association of Chief Police Officers is for some mysterious reason) that HAD to run efficiently and deliver a good quality service to survive, he would have been sacked after six months.
