Guilty: The former Labour minister who charged YOU to insure his wife's ring
Former Labour minister Shahid Malik has been found guilty of breaching expenses rules by a parliamentary watchdog after he charged taxpayers for the insurance on his wife's engagement ring.

If any man should be given praise for lifting the lid on the TEL scandal then it is Colin Grantham. He brought it to the attention of the national media and in Parliament.
Unfortunately after all this scandal, John Bell was offered a directorship to try and make the corrupt organisation look as if it was politically balanced.
Bell was offered somewhere in the region of £60,000 to be on the board of TEL. However Colin wouldn't have any of it and told Bell that he could kiss goodbye to his membership if he took it up.
Bell saw sense and realised that the organisation was about to fold. So he rejected the offer and remained on the council ever since.
