I am well versed on the sleaze, nepotism and careerism which exists in this borough. You need to look no further than the absolute non-negotiable position of the ruling Labour clique when it comes to reducing (jobs for the boys) the number of councillors. Lollypop ladies can easily be dispensed with as a cost saving effort, but don't dare ask them to reduce the number of councillors. Please do not take what I said out of context. If you read what I said again I said "compared to" and purposely named a truly dreadful local authority as a comparison.

My mission in life is not to knock Tameside Council just for the sake of it. Where there is justification for criticism, criticism will be forthcoming but where praise is due, as in this case where they are supporting the initiative to reopen this rail line to passengers services praise will be given. I have said many times before that TMBC may not be perfect but they are by no means the worst local authority in the area. Compared to places such as Rochdale, Tameside is a well run borough. There are parts of neighbouring Manchester which are a total disgrace where even the basics such as street cleaning is overlooked. So credit where credit is due and well done to both local authorities for supporting this scheme.Tameside Citizenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11360798844854365955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1521899673515819821.post-30156559173264101812013-12-15T21:03:55.880+00:002013-12-15T21:03:55.880+00:00You forget that TMBC and Stockport MBC are support...You forget that TMBC and Stockport MBC are supportive of the re-opening of this line but then it wouldn't be cool to give credit to the local councils.
